This article is about a woman who gets invited to go to a stripper church. Check it out and comment on what you think about her actions and what we can learn. What did she do that is similar or different from any type of ministering? What can the church learn from this story?http://www.faithit.com/i-went-to-strip-club-with-pastors-wife/?utm_content=buffera765c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer

ReplyDeleteSomething that she did differently was that she was open- minded when she went to minster. Most of the time, churches only go to certain places to minster or go international , but not out of there way to somewhere nearby that actually needs Jesus. We have a mindset or a goal of sharing the gospel but we see ourselves as better than non-christians which causes a wall between us and the non-believers. That is something, that we personally have to change first before going out and change others.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that she did was entirely different from what the church usually does. For most people, such places are where Christians should NOT be going to. However, this lady and her friends thought differently and were able to reach the broken souls when others weren't willing. Like Jonathan said, she went with an open mind, not being biased against such people. A lot of times, we can often find our own selves thinking against people who go to such places. But that's where Jesus tells us that he came to save the sinners. If we don't have the mindset of Christ in us, to be willing to go to places where others wouldn't dare to, then we are not much different than the pharisees of the Bible.
ReplyDeleteI think what happened there was really good. and was what Jesus would have done if he was there. Jesus never went to some big church to go preach but the he went to the places where everyone labeled despicable sinners

ReplyDeleteI think she did what only a few people would do, which is do what Jesus would have done. Most people would do what they think is right, but she went out with the love of Jesus in her heart and loved on them like she would with any other person.
ReplyDeleteI think many Christians feel like they are better than everyone else, especially better than non-believers, but in reality, they are not.She did what only few people would do and that was certainly what Jesus would have done too.
