The last video was really touching. One of the thing I got out of it is "God is not going to change what we do, but rather change the reason WHY we do it". And another one is "We may think we are doing something, but God is preparing us to do THE thing. Nice videos man!
ReplyDeleteI like how he said that the disciples were acting first before they actually got called. Especially now in our youth, I think we should put in some action and God will direct it to fit the plans that he has in store for our lives. Great post rom!
ReplyDeleteI watched the second videos "A godless generation" by Jon, and he is full scale on point to what I preach to my friends that are often pushed from the idea of Christ because the ambiguity and urking nature of the word God to a non believer and that the perception of the Church being full of either radicals that solely preach pro-life anti-gay topics may not be the nonbelievers fault. This adaption of thought that non believers have of us Christians are so much so our fault that we, in the effort to convert and change people's souls in the glory of God, have actually pushed them farther from God instead... But not saying the solution is to simply stop trying so hard because it isn't. The solution is to fix the term church. As Christians we are a living church and we define what the church is by our actions and we have the total power to make other religions and cultural sects believe that the church isn't a Christian power moving more westward to allow Caucasians to capture more land with a so called purpose. But instead we can make the term church into a symbol of what everyone can potentially be by representing oneself in the body of christ.
ReplyDeleteI watched the first 2 videos, the first video showed a great representation of Matthew 5:14-15 that we shouldn't be shy but shine for God and show our light inside of us.
ReplyDeleteThe second video was very blunt about how the church has been very one sided and not accepting teenagers and understanding them. This were great videos Jerome!
The body of Christ would gain many souls for heaven, if we had no agenda, no projects and no checklists but to just have that authentic love like Christ did. Excellent videos.
