Are you still the same person??

A couple of questions I've been thinking about lately was, when we got saved and baptized we all gave up our old ways and buried it but the question is, are we still the same people as we were before we got saved and baptized? I'm not talking about if we are going to church more or praying more, but are we living a life that represents Christ? Did we give up the sins we did before we were born again? Thinking about these questions drive me to do better in my life.

  1. This is definitely a great question that I fail to ask myself daily. Personally, it's hard for me at times to live a life Christ desires, but it's a day to day reflection that helps in that. I need to grow more closer to God than at the point where I am at now.

  2. Nice way to check how your relationship with Christ is doing. Also maybe we should ask why we gave it up so as to see the logic/reason behind the act of letting some things go. Also, if we didn't give up the things we did before we were born again, then is it truly a born again experience?

Why do we do things to hurt Christ? Are we not aware of how real He is? And how it's a real relationship and not just one confined to four walls of church?

  3. tru. I got baptised soley because of the fear of God and wanting to be at his side before its too late. I still think I make the same mistakes even after baptism, but understanding what you do is wrong and doing what good pleases is what I feel is a reason we took our baptisms. So it's OK to be the same person, but your reasoning of your actions shouldn't be the same
